MetalForm China (CMF), showing the entire metal forming technology chain of billets, sheet metal, pipe, section, is exclusive specialized exhibition on the forging, metalforming, fabrication field in China.The main features are sheet metal, semi-finished and finished products, handling, separation, forming/flexible sheet metal working, joining/welding and surface technologies. Tools, process and quality control systems, CAD/CAM applications plus research and development complete the product range on display. The exhibition is held by Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry (CCMI) biyearly.CMF’06 was held in Shanghai INDEX from March 14th to March 17th 2006. There were 78 exhibitors coming from 13 countries.

CMF 2007 shall be held at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing from Nov. 20th to 22nd 2007. The exhibition will be the congress of enterprises of international forging, metalforming, fabrication etc..

Depending on the mature market and requirement, oversea market of metalforming & forging has been grown-up, for instance, EuroBLECH’s exhibiting area, held in Germany, reaches 130,000 S.q.m. As for the Chinese domestic market which is called the most potential, the exhibitions on the field just start their steps.For now, there is no exhibition on the field its area is over 10,000 S.q.m, and most of them belong to comprehensive expositions. CMF, held by Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry is national association of these enterprises, is the unique specialized metalforming exhibition on the forging, stamping, fabrication.
As for a tiny branch of the machinery trade, because there is no specialized exhibition on the fields, the manufacturers of equipments and dies of forging, stamping, fabrication still chose to take part in those large-sized comprehensive exposition such as CIMT which focus on machine-tools of metal working or other dies.From the history overseas, it is the trend that exhibitors move from comprehensive exhibition to specialized exhibition.
Tips:
For now, the domestic market of exhibition in China is very chaotic.Lots of exhibition companies holds these exhibitions such as shows focused on forging, stamping, fabrication which is a “hanger-on” to those large-sized exposition and is a tiny branch of the whole spectrum. So the companies can crow about there were ××× exhibitors and ×××visitors in the previous exhibition which, in fact, were the number of the whole exposition. Normally, there is few exhibitors and visitors in this kind of exhibition. |
